Pediatric  Dentistry” deals with  the lower region of the face with the structure of children’s oral and dental diseases, preventive and curative treatment. When do the teeth begin to erupt?
Babies first tooth begins to erupt approximately 6 months. However, the continuation of teeth or tooth to take most of the time delay observed. This region in the head-side inspection the size, shape and ratios are observed.Any swelling, asymmetry in children older than six years , restriction, or lower jaw examined. Swelling by palpation and visual inspection, the softness of the detection and examination of lymph node should be performed. After that the examination of the lower jaw joint is done. Pain and sounds are evaluated.If  children have eye and the nose and sinus examination, exophthalmos, blue sclera, low eyelid, and nasal congestion should be considered.

This study examined the teeth, mouth open, teeth and soft tissues, while the     observations made in case of closing the covers. Examination begins with analyzing the inner and outer lips. Later, buccal mucosa, frenulums, hard palate, pharynx, sublingual, parts and tongue are examined. Color changes, acute and chronic fistula (fistula) or swelling are checked.

Mouth and teeth cleaning should be done by the mother through a clean piece of cloth. The toothbrush can be used in children since 1 year. Shaking the child’s mouth cannot process without considering or low-fluoride-containing toothpaste, tooth brushing process can be done using children’s toothpastes. Achievable considering the child process is an effective tooth cleaning, tooth brush should be used by parents. Following brushing teeth process, tongue surface must be brushed. At the first examination,  baby’s medical and dental story is listened. Intra-oral examination is done the first visit of patient and the patient’s susceptibility to tooth decay is evaluated. What are the measures to be taken tooth decay in children?

Drug use: Oral contraceptives (birth control pills) antidepressants and certain heart medications affect oral health. reaching an agreement about the side effects of drugswith doctors, dentist and pharmacist is important.
Teeth grinding:  Have you ever been told that you grind your teeth at nigth? Do you have a toothache in the exam or solving a problem?Are you tired when you wake up? By damaging the tissues supporting the teeth clench or grind teeth, accelerates tissue destruction.
Diabetes: Diabetes is associated with different levels of sugar in blood and the various types of hormonal disorder.It is known as ‘hidden diabetes’ as well. If you are diabetic, you are open to infection and periodontal diseases. These infections are preparatory for periodontal disease and accelerate the development of existing disease.
Poor nutrition: Poor nutrition reduces the body’s resistance, weakens the body’s defenses against diseases. Periodontal disease is a serious infectious disease, so poor nutrition destroys the gums.
Other systemic diseases: every kind of disease  disrupts the body’s immune system also affects the status of the gums.
